Thank you for reading this article.
I recently purchased a Galleria gaming laptop.
I'd like to share my impressions of playing a game on a high-performance PC for the first time in my life.
The PC I bought is Galleria's UL7C-R37. It's a gaming laptop that costs about 270,000 yen. I considered buying a desktop, but I thought it would be better to have something portable, so I went for a laptop.
Games I've played on this PC so far:
- Shadowverse
- CODE VEIN
- DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT
- Tales of Arise
I haven't played many games that require high loads, but I'll summarize my impressions of each game I played, so I hope this will be helpful for those who are considering purchasing a gaming laptop.
Shadowverse
I've been playing this game on my smartphone for a while now, so I tried playing it on my PC. Shadowverse is a card game, and you control it with the mouse only, not the keyboard. All of the game settings were set to the highest level.

- Operating speedgood
- Operationgood
That's the summary. I played for long periods of time, but I didn't experience any problems with the game slowing down or anything like that. It was nice to be able to play on a much larger screen than on a smartphone.
CODE VEIN
CODE VEIN is an action RPG, or more specifically, a type of game known as a death game.

- Operating speedgood
- OperationUsually(Once you get used to itgood)
This was my first time playing an action game on a PC, so it took me a while to get used to using the keyboard. Also, using the mouse to control the viewpoint is not as difficult as using the keyboard, but it does take some getting used to. If you don't set the sensitivity properly, the viewpoint will move too much if the sensitivity is too high, and if it's too low, you won't be able to turn around in one go. Other than that, there were no particular issues.
DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT
Death Stranding Director's Cut is an action game with an open world.

- Operating speedgood
- Operationgood
Although it is an action game, the controls are not too intense. In an open world, the graphics are more prominent, but there were no problems in that regard, and the mountains, rivers, and weather were all very beautiful. I think that open world games put a lot of strain on the system, but the game also ran very smoothly and there were no problems.
Tales of Arise
Tales of Arise is an action RPG, and out of these four games, it is the one I played most recently.

- Operating speedgood
- OperationUsually(Once you get used to itgood)
It's in the same genre as Code Vein, but as expected, it's difficult to operate when the game is fast-paced. You can get used to using a mouse quickly, but keyboard operation is difficult. When pressing the WASD keys required for movement, pressing the shift key or control key with your pinky finger can be quite cramped, depending on the size of your hand. Other than that, there are no problems.
summary
As long as the games on a gaming laptop are not ones that put an abnormally high load on the computer, there are no problems with the operation or graphics. Compared to a desktop, the cooling function is weaker and the computer heats up easily, so if you play for a long time, the computer may slow down for a moment, but it has never caused any major problems with gameplay, so I don't think it's a big problem.
The biggest problem is the keyboard operation. It takes time to get used to it, and depending on the game, it may put a lot of strain on your little finger. If you go to the store and find an external keyboard that fits your hand, you may be able to play a little more comfortably, but it seems like a waste to buy a separate keyboard when the keyboard is already attached, so that may also be a problem with laptops.
