My personal weapon rankings for MW3 ranked play! I'll also introduce the custom weapons I use! [Season 5]

In this article, I will introduce the top 4 weapons in my personal rankings for ranked play in COD:MW3. I will also introduce the weapon customizations I use. There are both ARs and SMGs, so please use the one that suits you. Please note that if the customization prioritizes recoil control or aim speed, it may not have a sight.

1st place: MTZ-556 with low recoil and high rate of fire (updated August 4, 2024)

The assault rifle I've been using the most since Season 5 is the MTZ-556. It has a high rate of fire, so it's an AR that is more difficult to control recoil than the MCW, but with the following customization, you can achieve a much lower recoil and faster aim speed.

If you attach a purger brake to the muzzle, the range will be shortened, so if you don't like that, you can use it with almost the same recoil by attaching the "ZEHMN35 Compensator Flash Hide". Since it does not have a sight, if you are not good at iron sights, I think it is better to remove the under barrel and attach a sight.

2nd place: Easy-to-use and popular RIVAL-9 custom (updated August 4, 2024)

In second place is the RIVAL-9, which is relatively easy to use among SMGs and has a lot of firepower. We will introduce a custom version of the RIVAL-9, which has fast aim speed and small recoil, making it easy to use. It is recommended for maps where there are many close- to medium-range shootouts.

This is a customization that reduces recoil while retaining the aim speed that is an advantage of SMGs. However, since the range is short and the bullet speed is slow, it is difficult to win at long distances. Please note that the horizontal recoil is a little large and the lateral shaking may be a concern.

Since the recoil is suppressed, it is relatively easy to see even without the sights, so I have not attached any sights. If it is difficult to see, please remove one and attach your preferred sight.

3rd place: MCW whose usage rate seems to be declining (updated August 4, 2024)

In third place is the MCW AR, which is easy to control recoil and can be used on many maps. Although the aim speed is slow, it is a recommended customization for maps with a lot of mid- to long-range shooting.

I've customized it to suppress recoil like an AR and make it easy to use at medium to long distances, but the aiming speed is inferior to the MTZ-556. I used to attach a "Slate Reflector" because it was hard to see the iron sight, but now I attach a "KR Mini-Tac 40 Riser" which speeds up the aiming speed. If you don't mind the iron sight, I think it's a good idea to attach other attachments.

4th place: STRIKER9 (updated August 4, 2024) with mediocre recoil and aim speed

In fourth place is the SMG STRIKER9. It is easy to use and powerful among SMGs, so it is the second most popular after the RIVAL-9. Compared to the RIVAL-9, even with customization, the recoil is large and the aim speed is slow.

Although the range and bullet speed will be further reduced, I have attached the "Purifier Muzzle Brake S" to reduce recoil without slowing down the aiming speed. However, the recoil is still somewhat large, so you need to be careful. I don't have a sight attached because I think it's easy to see with the iron sight.

The Quartermaster Suppressor has been banned (Updated 8/4/2024)

The Quartermaster Suppressor added in Season 5 is very strong, and I introduced a custom with it, but the Quartermaster Suppressor was too strong and I was immediately banned. I don't think it can be used forever in ranked play.
